I've been riding the T for over 10 years and can't help but encounter this strange little guy every so often who yells out at fellow passengers, saying all the stations the train is going to next, like he was the train's PA annoucement system. I always note him as a nut.
yes.......totally, that guy is the best, and he knows everything incl. the bus #'s and where they go

I've seen this guy, too, and he's definitely got a mental disability. I think he's mildly autistic. He's not really a nut, he's just part of the fun of Boston.

I think he works at the Star Market on Beacon.
I think he is "the best," too. :)
Yes, for the 5 years I lived in Cleveland Circle I used to see this small strange man all the time (on the T, at StarMarket, etc) - a few times he was waiting at the Englewood T stop with me and always would just start talking and wouldn't leave me alone. I think he belongs to a group home somewhere along beacon - cause I sometimes would seem him with a group of mentally disabled people.

I know the little guy you are talking about. I am working at Star on Beacon and he is not employed here. Seen him on the T many times. When he gets the chance he tries to impress the girls on the train with his "knowledge." Though doubtful they are impressed, but all of them do get a kick out of him.

This little guy was one of my first experiences upon moving to Boston 4 years ago. I think not only does he add to the city's novelty, but cheers up the public transportation environment, which is often a very cold ride with us New Englanders. I say good for our little friend for not letting the rest of us get him down!

that guys rocks. on new year's eve last year he was lugging home booze for all of his friends at the home. but he was worried that it might interfere with their medication. we call him "coolidgecornerharvardstreet" because he gets so excited by this stop.
