THE MBTA COLOR SCHEME

There's a reason the MBTA lines have the colors they do:
• Red Line: Used to terminate at Harvard Square -- and Harvard's official color is crimson.
• Blue Line: Runs along the ocean.
• Green Line: Connects Boston with the leafy suburbs.
• Orange Line: Used to run above Washington Street, which was once called Orange Street.
