Hamburg
Ground meat. Sometimes found near the frankfurts.
what would regular people call it?

When I was growing up in different locations in "Mass.", we called it "hamburg" when it was just ground beef.
When it was in a patty we called it a "hamburgah."
What would "regular people ;)" call it?
Well, "hamburger" whether it's in a patty or ground beef.
