Out-of-stater. "One of the worst places to be is stuck behind some rubbernecking foreigner, for example, on Newbury St. or any of the converted cow paths Boston is home to."

I grew up in Worcester (Wistah), and I'm up in New Hampshire now. Up here we say "from away" --- as in "he's definitely from away."

My grandmother's family had been in the United states since 1620 she was descended from the Ayers of Haverhill and the Crumbs of Westerly. She was active in the DAR and was quite a snob to boot. Her branch of the family moved to Wisconsin in the 1830s. When she and her mother moved to a small town in Mass back in the 60s, she was less than amused that all of her second generation Lithuanian, Polish, and French neighbors constantly called her a foreigner.
