Somebody who's wicked smaht; a Brain. At least in Saugus, that is. From the Bomar Brain, one of the first affordable calculators, which was made in Acton.

Is this a Boston word? We said this all the time where I grew up in NJ.

I've lived in Saugus all of my life and I've never heard that word used, lol. Weird!

I grew up in Saugus and we've never used that word...I've never even heard of it!

The term was in use when I was a junior-high student in Lexington, back in 1978-79.

I grew up in Saugus but I never heard that word thrown at me (I was one of the smaht kids) Then again, I was minted in 1982, so maybe I'm too young. Someone probably said it to me when I was very young and I never picked up on it.

I grew up in Saugus and no one ever said it (I was one of the smaht kids on honnahs classes, but we never used it). Then again, I was born in 1982, so maybe I'm not old enough. Some grownup prolly said it to me and I never picked up on it.
