The "AR"
Congress Street

The B fell off the sign - so it became known as the AR. It was on Congress a little past the childrens museum- closed a few years ago. can't even remember the real name. There was a ring of grime on the wall, particularly noticible about 5'8" off the floor - from where guys would just kind of lean their heads against the wall. -- Jobie

There was a place on Summer St called the Power House we used to go to after drills at the Army Base.It was pretty bad the locals left us pretty much alone ,but I suspect it wouldn'thave taken much to start a fight.We went in therte with a couple of black guys one night and got some dirty looks but no problems.That was back in the 70s,during the School problems.
