The Pig is not a dive, as per the description! It's a great bar with a slew of regulars, but it does not fill the "dive" requirements.

The place is a blast, a great place to meet friends for a Pint and some good food. The bartenders are alsoreal good guys.

It's my home away from home. The bartenders are nice and attentive, it's generally quiet. Not as low as dive standards but if you are looking for a good local bar, sit actually at the bar and they will treat you right.

I've recently moved away and cannot for the life of me find a better bar than the PIG. Great place! Bartenders are sexy, fast, attentive and quite hospitable. This is a Boston must have for anyone traveling into town. It's relaxing and fun.
And for the person who wrote "go to Flans", If you're in a fraternity, you can stay at Flans. The PIG is more a sophisticated crowd. They don't want any white hats!

I don't know if any of you have actually been to the pig for a while but it has become a souless dive with all the charm of a road accident. The beer is crap and no the bartenders are not attentive they are unprofessional assholes with the idea that they are more important than they are

murphy's at the squealer......ahhhhhh..by far the better irish pub in Boston. Before heading home on the green line, you better stop in for a pint of your favorite. Now here in arizona, we think of the pig every now and then and miss our favorite place we use to love to go to..

I've had more laughs, good drinks, and great burgers at the pig than I'll ever remember. Like anywhere Chris, a place is what you make of it. so just stay in back bay where if you spill beer on your cardigan someone will wipe it for you. However, like everyone else has stated, its a really great place to meet friends, relax, and throw back a pint or twelve.....if you can find parking on Huntington.

The Pig was hands down my home away from home. I moved back to RI and really miss the good times and atmosphere of the Pig. Who is the dope that said "Flans" is better? Please stay there and don't contaminate the Pig.
