We start our Friday evening at Sullivan's Tap near the Fleet Center. Cozy up to the 150-foot bar for a cold Pabst for $1.75. After a few it's time to saunter down to the Littlest Bar for a bottle. Not enough room for draught beer. After a snack at Buzzy's while watching the Red Line it's a short walk to the Beacon Hill Pub. They proudly hang a plaque stating their recognition as one of the best dives in Boston. The night is getting more "colorful"! Now it's time to take on the Common in the evening to get to the last stop - the Tam in the Theatre District! This is, shall we be polite, "eclectic". Last Friday we watched a guy wobble for a while. Dunno how he managed to stay on his barstool! After a few slow-motion punches at the bartender who was trying to help him, the paramedics were called to remove him from the floor. I got his warm barstool but, of course was warned about the curse that that middle seat has! Nothing like a dive crawl in the Hub! -- Sharon Peters
