Is a $471 gas bill for the month of January just the cost of owning a 3-storey house in Somerville, or is there something seriously FUBARed with our heating system?

It doesn't sound all that far off. I used to have monthly gas bills (in January) of $2-300 just for a 3rd floor condo in Somerville. It was always worst in January when we had the 2-3 weeks of bitter cold.
