Oh, so Blockbuster's eliminated late fees and joyful citizens are crying from happiness? Amy discovers why God invented fine print:

Well franchise stores don't have to participate because when a store is franchised, it means that it's privately owned... The owner can do what he/she wants...

hey, franchised stores can not hemmorage money like corporate stores can. don't whine about no late fees, it's vastly saving you money. i'm a BBV store manager, i've worked there for years. trust me, people are getting WAY less fucked by big blue now. we are getting massive pressure to make up for all that revenue the company is losing.

think about it this way: movies were always sold to you after 14 days. you were just charged late fees up until then. don't whine.

This is classic "way less fucked by BBV now". That's great. Now I'm just not getting fucked as much, but still getting fucked. BBV is a joke. Why go there? You get bad service from high school drop outs nothing more.

Blockbuster sucks anyhow. I will NEVER do business with them again. Not only was the whole "no late fees" campaign horribly misleading, but there are policies (as with any company) that I do not understand. Awful customer service. When I called to ask, I was told, "Well, that's just the way it is." No explaining, no apology. I contacted them online and received no response. Great customer service, good job Blockbuster.

I'm definitely not backing BBV, but I resent the "high school dropouts" comment. I worked there for 6 years, and I'm working on my doctorate now (Not that it means much...). So, avoid generalizations. I'll agree there are some complete morons working at some of these locations, but not all of them.

Ive been a customer of bb for over 10 years, currently have the game pass, a few days ago i rented a game around 10:30 am then went back at 1:00 pm to exchange it for another game. As the store manager was checking me out, she made the comment i hope you arent making illegal copies of games, in a joking manner, or we'll have to flag your account, I was taken aback and in shock, all she had to do was check my rental history and that would have told her all she needed to know. I thought the game pass meant unlimited rentals, isnt that the reason they offer it ?
this is store no 06508 in lawndale ca, suffice it to say that when my game pass is expired I will not be renewing it at this store. store manager rhonda.
