Steve, who is apparently stuck in just such a workshop at the MFA, comes up with the rules for when to take a drink, including:
... A reader charges your own story with precisely the same problem you've mentioned in theirs (drink twice if they have not yet heard your critique);
... A workshop member who has privately admitted to not having read a submission expounds at length on its qualities. ...
