Writer's workshop drinking game

NOTE: Boston Common is no longer being updated. For the latest Boston-area blog posts, please see Universal Hub

Steve, who is apparently stuck in just such a workshop at the MFA, comes up with the rules for when to take a drink, including:

... A reader charges your own story with precisely the same problem you've mentioned in theirs (drink twice if they have not yet heard your critique);

... A workshop member who has privately admitted to not having read a submission expounds at length on its qualities. ...

WARNING: He cautions that his rules are only for fiction workshops, and are not intended for use in poetry or non-fiction workshops.
