Michael looks out at the bright lights from his house on the dark end of his street:

... People have gone far beyond the basic white or colored string lights. We're talking blow-up ten-foot Santas, waist high candy canes, creepy moving Reindeer exoskeletons, and faux-neon Frostys doffing their hats to passerbys over and over again. It's a beacon of commercialism in the night, proving the Useless Christmas Krap section of our economy is the most robust it's ever been. ...
